FREE public dance workshops and performances

The day starts at 10.45am with a performance by Shut Up and Dance on the Te Papa forecourt.

At 11am the official welcome on the Level 2 foyer will be followed by 9 workshops, with something for all ages and abilities, and a performance on the marae.

11.45 - 12.30 West African dance with Koffie Fugah

12.30 - 1.15 Scottish Ceilidh with Victoria University Folk Music Club

1.15 - 1.30 Performance interlude - Sugarfoot Stomp and Shivam Dance Academy

1.30 - 2.00 Samoan Sasa with Jayden Luapo

2.00 - 2.45 Cuban Salsa with Rafael Ferrer Noel

Kids friendly Workshops - Te Marae- Level 4

12.00 - 12.30 Hawaiian dance with Liora Noy

12.30 - 1.00 Ballet with Laura Saxon-Jones

1.00 - 1.30 Capoeira with Yan Agate

1.30 - 2.00 Jazz with Ata Bridge-Comer

Performance - Te Marae, 3 -4pm

Performance by 10 community groups including: Tautua Dance (Samoan), Ravenhill Dance (contemporary), Moringa Dancers (African), Mayur Dance Academy (Indian), Mirian Caberlon Belly Dance School, Le Dance, Orleta Polish Dance Ensemble, Pump Dance Studio (Jazz and Hip Hop) , Wellington Israeli Dance Group, WI Dance (Inclusive dance)
